I have complete my first novel and am aiming to self publish. Unfortunately, I survive on a day to day basis and I cannot afford to have an editor edit my work professionally and I feel that my own editing is not sufficient enough to provide readers with the absolute best quality as they deserve. Neither can I afford to have a professional high quality book cover made. Writing is my best hope for a stable income and I don't want to blow my chances by publishing something that might have needed an editor, since this is my first novel and I am by no means a professional until proven otherwise through success.
