Vanilla DotA

DotA on WC3 was legendary not just for gameplay, but for its community leagues, tracked stats, and accountability.
When Reforged launched, much of that structure was lost.

This project is a proof of concept to bring it back.

Why We Built It

In the past, leagues enforced fair play and kept detailed records of every match.
Today, many games are hosted ad hoc, with no shared history, and hosts can kick players arbitrarily.

That’s frustrating - and it hurts the scene.

Our goal is to restore structure, transparency, and a better experience for everyone who still loves playing DotA on WC3.

What This Does

• Stable bot-hosted lobbies trained on thousands of games, lobbies, and replays
  
• Automatic replay uploads after every game
  
• Stats pages that track ELO, winrate, KDA, and more
  
• Fair play enforcement: leavers and gameruiners are automatically banned for a period of time, based on their stay rate and behavior. Bans lift after a cooldown, encouraging players to finish games without permanently locking them out.
  

How It Works

• Bot observes games, manages slots, and prevents common host issues
  
• Results and replays are parsed into structured stats
  
• Dashboards show active lobbies, recent games, and player leaderboards

• APIs for third-party developers (if the pilot proves stable)
  

Costs and Limits

Running these bots is compute-heavy and requires ongoing investment in hardware and software.
We’re starting small to validate stability before scaling to other maps and games.
