Running the iBe.social server on the Fediverse has monthly running costs. We keep these as low as possible. The majority of the costs are associated with actual server hardware running in a data centre. Other costs are for backup storage at a geographically separate data centre.

The iBe.social service is provided free to all and we make no charge to create accounts and use the server. However, we are grateful for any donations, no matter the value, towards running costs.

Any monthly surplus funds will roll forward towards future running costs. We take nothing from the funds for 'people' costs -- the admins do this on an entirely voluntary basis.
