My name is Terence Ponce. I'm the creator of Open Budget, an open source budgeting platform. I created Open Budget because I really like budgeting, but I have always found it a challenge to share this passion of mine with other people. The reason for that is because the good budgeting apps are locked behind a pay wall while the free alternatives are usually bad or behind the paid apps feature-wise.

I come from a 3rd world country and from what I experienced, the people who really need to use these budgeting apps are the ones who can't afford to use them in the first place. It's a chicken and egg problem.

I intend to fund Open Budget with my own money, but I would also like to ask help from everyone to sustain this project. All of the donation that I get will go towards paying for the servers to keep Open Budget free for everyone.
